Improving Network Connection on Apple Devices (Slow Speeds/Frequent Disconnects)

To enhance your network connection on Apple devices, you may need to adjust certain settings that could conflict with network security configurations. Follow the steps below for iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks:

 

For iPhones and iPads:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on Wi-Fi.
  3. Locate your network and tap on the blue i icon next to it.
  4. For older iOS versions: Toggle off Private Wi-Fi Address.
  5. For newer iOS versions: Switch the setting from Fixed to Off.
  6. Disable Limit IP Address Tracking.

 

For MacBooks:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Network.
  3. Click on Wi-Fi.
  4. Click on Details next to your network.
  5. Disable Limit IP Address Tracking.
  6. Power off the device for 10 minutes.

 

Monitoring:

After making these changes, monitor your connection for improvements over the next 24 hours.
